This week our Middle School Students went on a trip to Wellesley College where Professor David Olson gave them an engaging presentation about “New Media.” He showed the students how animated movies and video games are created. He also showed them some of the other art resources including the dark room and green screen video recording room. Students were given a guided tour of the Davis Art Museum where they saw works of famous artists such as Monet, Warhol, and Pollock. Students then had the opportunity to journal and reflect on pieces of their choosing. The trip was a great experience which captured many of the growing interests of our students. Of course, no campus visit would be complete without having a wonderful lunch in the student cafeteria.
