Hurricane Effort reaches Goal!

Thank You Very Much Riverbend Community!

Hi, my name is Marcello Nissi and  I recently started a fundraiser drive to help the dogs in need from the recent hurricanes with my four other activists in the making, consisting of Nathaniel, Luca, Matthew and Lillian. I am so proud of how much money we raised. As a community, we raised over $615.00! We recently took a trip to Save A Dog in Sudbury and presented them with the first check for $600. When we were there, we met a dog name Gorgeous that had just been rescued from Saint Thomas. Gorgeous had so many burn marks on her, it was so sad to think of why people would want to burn such nice dogs.

Friday, we took our second visit to Save A Dog to present the final check for $300 which was collected during The Fall Festival.  This amount brings the total that was collected by our community to $900.00! We thought we didn’t reach our goal of $1,000, but upon presenting the check to Shirley(Founder of at Save A Dog), she told us we did reach our goal because she was donating $100 of her own money to complete our fundraising drive! This means that we just saved a number of dogs lives by giving them an opportunity for a new home.

Thank You Riverbend Community For Your Amazing Help!
